The Pacific Place theater was way too hot (temperature-wise) for the 10pm screening on Saturday. The lower level was nearly tolerable but the upper level was stifling. Several audience members were telling the announcer guy that it was too hot.
Also, midway through the film the film frame became uncentered vertically and the subtitles were off the screen and unreadable for several minutes. The projectionist didn't bother to rewind it. At least, it wasn't rewound before I left the theater.

Most areas of our web site are open to anyone who creates an web site account, but a few areas of the site such as the FOOLs' Faces Project and the planned Fool Serious online balloting feature are open only to full series (or equivalent) SIFF pass holders who have become verified members of Fool Serious. If you would like to apply to become a verified member (a "Certified FOOL"), first create an account if you have not yet done so. While creating the account you will have the opportunity to provide your membership qualifi

Our admins have assembled this site so quickly I'm amazed. It's only natural that our admins haven't assembled everything quite perfectly. It's a shared work-in-progress.
So, I propose this thread as a place to dscuss the site itself. It's normal that any such discussion will include more "this isn't quite right" than "this is just right".
I'll start with my first collection of observations in a reply to this message.

Accelerating America is a remarkable portrait of an inspirational principal, two of his most challenging students, and a school that offers at-risk youth a second chance. Despite abandonment, poverty, and troubled pasts, America and Jasmine struggle to turn their lives around over the course of a single make-or-break year.
Director Timothy Hotchner scheduled to attend both screenings

Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, and Kurt Cobain all checked out before turning 28. After the sudden death of a bandmate, a distressed rock star hires a geeky grocery store clerk to drive him across the country. The vast American landscape—stunningly photographed—provides solace for this unlikely pair as they make their way to New York for the funeral. First, do not despair. The old Fool Serious web site still lives in all of its functional glory in the Web Site Archive.
The new Fool Serious web site is built upon an open source content management system (CMS) called Drupal. You may find out more about Drupal at http://drupal.org.
The Fool Serious (a word play on “Full Series”) are the full series pass holders of the Seattle International Film Festival. We are a truly fanatical group of cinephiles that gather to share their love of cinema throughout the festival while standing in lines, in the theater or online. Our passion is to discuss all thing cinematic and FOOLish!
The FOOLs are “the officially unofficial un-organization of the Seattle International Film Festival's full series pass holders”. We have our own website, online discussion forum and year round events celebrating SIFF and the world of cinema. While not officially a part of the SIFF Group, are the festival’s staunchest ambassadors and greatest supporters.
Are you a fool? Well, if you're serious about the movies (with some maybe even saying foolishly so), then you have the makings of a FOOL. To become an official FOOL all you need is a FULL series pass or greater* ... If you qualify, sign-in, fill out your FOOLish Bona Fides and join us in our FOOLish love of film.
*You also qualify to be a FOOL if you have a Platinum Pass, press pass, or have been a loyal SIFF volunteer or staff member.

The new Fool Serious Web site is moving to a new server in order to be able to handle the traffic of a full launch. The new server is currently using the URL http://tigerwave.mobi. This name will disappear once the foolserious.org and foolserious.com addresses are updated to point to the new server. This will happen in the next day or two. Feel free to use this site in the mean time. All of your changes will be preserved. Thanks for your patience. -John
The goal of the FOOLs' Faces Project is to produce a book of information with one page about each Fool Serious member so that Fools may learn a little about each other and recognize each other in person. Here are the FOOLs' faces that have been submitted thus far:
